Aron Mack was born April 1, 1929 in Possum Hollow near Tanglewood in Lee County, Texas to Ollie P. and Verse (Mathis) Mack. At an early age he attended Sand Hill Baptist Church in Tanglewood and later became a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church in the Leo Community near Lexington, Texas. He faithfully served as a deacon until his health failed.
Aron married Hellon Ruth Joiner in Lee County, Texas. To this union, eleven children were born. He was a family man and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hellon Mack; parents, Ollie and Versie Mack; five sisters, Olivia Mack-Morrison, Myrtle Mack-McBride, Mable Mack-Jones, Minnie Mack-Maloy and Winnie Mack-Marion; nine brothers, Namen Mack, Earnest Mack, Hinton Mack, Ulysee Mack, L.C. Mack, Lemuel Mack, Reggie Lee, Obbie Herman Mack and Bobby Mack; two grandchildren, Dequan E. Crawford and Adarryl Crawford; and one great-grandchild, Mackwan Kenneth Benson.
Left to cherish his memories are: his eleven children, Eltes Mack(Retired Airman, B. R. DeShone) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jean Benson of Lexington, Texas, Marie Benson(Robert) of Houston, Texas, Aron Mack, Jr.(Pamela) of Temple, Texas, Robert Mack(Gloria) of Lexington, Texas, Valerie Whitby(Wilfred), Gloria Branch of Lexington, Texas, Alma Watson of Rockdale, Texas, Keith Mack(Laura) of San Saba, Texas, Cartralia Mack of Ft. Worth, Texas and Byron Mack(Felicia) of Giddings, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
