Carline Jeannette Sheppard

Carline Jeanette Sheppard was born on September 23, 1964, in Giddings, Texas, to the late James Ray and Gloria Ann (Francis) Sheppard.

At an early age, Carline accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, beginning her Christian journey. She united with Sweet Home Baptist Church and later became a faithful member of Saint Paul Baptist Church in Giddings, Texas.

Carline received her education in the Giddings Independent School District. She enjoyed playing softball and dodgeball, shooting pool, and playing card games. She was an outstanding hair braider and took great pride in making others look and feel beautiful.

Carline departed this life on December 27, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gloria Sheppard; her paternal grandparents, Ped Sheppard and Mamie (Bradley) Sheppard Roberson; her maternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Erma (Rogers) Francis; three sisters, Nona Mae Sheppard, Gloria Viola “Pam” Sheppard, and Lessa Sheppard; and one granddaughter, Asia Nicole Sheppard-McKinney.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters, Latasha Ann Sheppard and Jasmine Lata Sheppard of Houston, Texas; one son, Alex Joseph Bradshaw of Giddings, Texas; her grandchildren, Darnell James Huff, Jeravious Jamall Sheppard, Derriere Brianne Fowler, Dekhia Brianna Fowler, and Allison Brantayvia Shallerhorn; great-grandchildren, Malikai Huff, Leilani Huff, and Emyli Champs; one sister, Ruby Sheppard of Manor, Texas; three brothers, Kenneth Sheppard of Killeen, Texas, Ewell Sheppard of Austin, Texas, and Clifton Holloway Sr. of Giddings, Texas; one aunt, Beverly Lewis of Bryan, Texas; four uncles, Charles Washington (the late Erma) of Bastrop, Texas, Elvis Lewis (Velma) of Lexington, Texas, Curtis Lewis of Ledbetter, Texas, and Bill Sheppard of Dime Box, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
