On Monday, January 26, 1970, a beautiful baby girl was born to Jessie Ruth Patridge and Wallace Davis. Her mother proudly named this precious daughter, Cheryl Lynn.
At an early age, Cheryl accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and attended worship services in Austin, Texas. She was educated in the Austin Independent School District, where she ultimately attended Travis High School.
In 1993, Cheryl and her loving companion, Eugene Mark Satterwhite relocated to Giddings, Texas. They were later united in Holy Matrimony by the Reverend David Bradford. There they settled to make a beautiful life for their family. The family attended Shorter Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church under Pastor Bertha Miller, Pastor David Bradford and most recently Pastor Hannah Hooks. She served in many capacities in the Ministry, including the Choir and assisted with the Young People's Departement in the past years. Her faith in God remained strong through her lifetime and she always remembered to call on Jesus.
Cheryl had a personality that could never be forgotten. Her compassion led her to work in Giddings Independent School District, where she remained until her health no longer allowed her to. An awesome wife, mother and friend to all, are only a few of the characteristics she emboddied. She had a fun, loving time when she was with her family. She loved to dance, cook and laugh often.
On Sunday, April 23, 2023, the Lord called Cheryl from labor to sweet rest. She is preceded in death by: her mother, Jessie Ruth Patridge Canada; her father, Wallace Davis; one brother, Derrick Canada; and her grandparents, Elva Joiner Patridge, Jessie L. Patridge and Cyrus T. Davis.
