Johnny Ray Rogers was born on November 21, 1955, in Giddings, Texas, to the late Annie Mae Roberson Rogers and Norris Bradshaw, Sr.
Johnny began his education at Post Oak Community School in Ledbetter, Texas. He later attended Northwest School and graduated from Giddings High School, where he was actively involved in athletics and various extracurricular activities.
Johnny dedicated his professional life to the trucking industry. For more than 46 years, he traveled the highways as a skilled and committed 18-wheeler driver. He remained a lifelong resident of the Giddings area, where he was well known and respected.
Johnny peacefully departed this earthly life on December 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Carolyn Rogers, Annie Mae Rogers, Ruthie Rogers, and Bessie Mae “Honey” Lipscomb; and two brothers, Ira “Chuck” Rogers and Homer Bradshaw, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children: Tammy Davis, Tomeka Kelly, Johnnie “Dre” Kelly, Jonathon Rogers (Miriam), Brigette Richmond, Savannah Rogers, Jason Rogers (Carissa), and Christopher Rogers; his grandchildren: Tameya Canada, Carlos Esquibel, Ebony Wolridge, Journey Wolridge, Jaceion Wolridge, LaRhonda Esquibel, Bravion Rogers, Razario Rogers, Sevyn Rogers, Kevin Richmond Jr., Kyla Richmond, Kenyion Richmond, Zorica Ray, Zyler Rogers, Liam Rogers, Laith Rogers, Isis Schulte,Trent Rogers and Mason Rogers. He is also survived by two sisters, Martha Davis (Johnny Lee) and Maude Ann Davenport; six brothers, Nunnie Rogers Jr., Pastor Roy Rogers, James Rogers, Charles Rogers (Twila), Norris “Boy” Bradshaw Jr. (Vernal), and Moral “Bill” Bradshaw (Rosie); a special son, Beau Hemmer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
