On that beautiful day of May 6, 1996, a baby girl was took her first breath. She was born to Kevin W. Jackson and Tanya E. Rogers in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas. They took great joy in naming her Kayla Justine Jackson. She was the second of two children born to this union.
At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized and became a member at St. Mary's Baptist Church in Ledbetter, Texas, under Pastor Fred D. Jones. She rededicated her life to Christ in September of 2020, and continued to keep her faith in God until He called her home.
As a child, she attended and received her formal education at Giddings Elementary School and later graduated from Hempstead High School. She was a very caring and loving person, and always had a smile on her face. She was very motivated and strived to be independent. She loved kids and would play with them from dusk to dawn, even though she did'nt have any of her own.
On early Saturday morning, June 19, 2021, Kayla moved on up into her new mansion. She is preceded in death by: her grandfathers, Claudie W. Jackson and Floyd Rogers; and her grandmother, Joyce Marie Hancock Rogers.
