Lillie Fay (Burns) Sheppard

Lillie Fay Burns Sheppard was born on June 4, 1932 in Dime Box, Texas to proud parents, Ernest Burns, Sr. and  Arie (Knox) Burns.  She married Earl Sheppard on June 10, 1950.  This union was blessed with 11 children. She loved fishing, picking pecans and dewberries, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents, Ernest Sr. and Arie Burns; husband, Earl Sheppard; four children, Verdlee Sheppard, Aaron Sheppard, Early Sheppard and Nancy Allen; three sisters, Hallie Parker, Mallie Carter and Pearl Moore; five brothers, Albert Burns, Ernest Burns, Jr., Raymond Burns, Allen Burns and Baby Boy Burns.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: seven children, Angeline Gallion of Caldwell, Texas, Lillie Johnson(Jimmy) of Temple, Texas, Dorothy Prazak(Raymond) and Bernice Moore(Mathis) both of Rockdale, Texas, Rosie Johnson(Michael) of Giddings, Texas, Tommie Sheppard of Lincoln, Texas, Freddie Sheppard(Charity) of Caldwell, Texas; 28 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Olivet Sheppard of Dime Box, Texas; one brother-in-law, Bill Sheppard of Dime Box, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Johnnie Mae Burns and Bonnie Jean Roberson both of Dime Box; special friends, Dale and Gerline Boyd and Tootsie at Snows Barbecue; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
