Mathis Wayne Moore

Mathis Wayne Moore was born November 8, 1959 in Rockdale, Texas, to proud parents, Riley Leroy Moore, Sr. and Vera Mae (King) Moore.  He attended school in the Rockdale Independent School District.

On September 23, 1984, he married the love of his life, Nettie Bernice Sheppard.  Together this loving union was blessed with three beautiful daughters. As a great provider for his family, Mathis was employed at Alcoa Aluminum Inc. for many years, and later retired.

On July 31, 2022, the Lord called his child home to rest from labor.  He is preceded in death by:  his parents, Riley Sr. and Vera Moore; one daughter, LaTasha Sheppard; and three sisters, Ruby Pittman, Linda Crawford and Beverly Moore Gunnels.

Forever cherishing his memories are:  his wife of 38 years, Nettie Bernice Moore; three daughters, Leslie Denise Woods(Derron), Tymesha Shaneice Moore and Beverly Nicole Moore; two grandchildren, Nyahria Woods and Kaden Woods; two sisters, Pamela Moore Campbell(Jeffrey) and Brenda Pittman Harris(Billy);  brothers, Vernon Moore, Riley Moore, Jr.(Karen) and Donald Moore; his grand-pup, Marley Moore; the Sheppard Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
