Monice Renee Patterson

Monice Renee Patterson was born on April 5, 1998, to Loretha Fields and Earnest Lee Patterson Sr. She attended and graduated from the Burton Independent School District in Burton, Texas. Monice was raised in the Christian faith from a young age and was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Burton, Texas.

On November 28, 2025, Monice answered the gentle call of her Lord, passing peacefully while surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joyce Fields and Johnny Fields; her paternal grandfather, Johnny Hudgen; and her great-grandparents, the late Reverend Floyd and Sister Caroline (Taplin) Mathis.

Monice leaves behind two beloved children, Madison King and Jamari White of Burton, Texas; her mother, Loretha Fields; her father, Earnest Patterson Sr. of Burton, Texas; and her grandmother, Mary Patterson of Burton, Texas. She is also survived by four brothers: Earnest Patterson Jr. (Monica) of Houston, Texas; Donnell Patterson of Burton, Texas; Deante Stegent of Brenham, Texas; and Tyrese Thomas of San Antonio, Texas; as well as one sister, Monica Stegent of Brenham, Texas; three uncles, John Mathis (Katrina) of Dallas, Texas, Daniel Patterson (Holly) and Charles Patterson of Burton, Texas; her special friend, James White; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
