Opal Marie was born on July 15, 1951, in Texas to Robert “Tobbie” Watson and Eva Mae (Colvin) Watson. She accepted Christ at an early age and was educated in the surrounding Texas area.
In the early 1970s, Opal relocated to California, where she began working for The Broadway. During her time in California, she met and married Leon. In that beautiful union, their only child, Tonia, was born, who preceded her in death.
Opal had a deep love for photography and was known for capturing countless precious moments of her family and friends. She loved to bowl and was a proud member of a bowling team for many years. She also had a passion for traveling and a heart for helping people, always giving of herself until her health no longer permitted.
In 2002, Opal returned to Ledbetter, Texas, where she worked in the healthcare field until her health no longer permitted. She will be fondly remembered for her warm spirit, her strong faith, her generous heart, and her unique love for Bugs Bunny cartoons, westerns, and karate movies.
