Patricia Marie (White) Davis

Patricia M. White-Davis left this earthly realm on June 3, 2022, after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born to the late Steve White and Emeola Caldwell-White on July 7,1939 in Houston, Texas. Throughout her illness her faith never wavered. Her life trumpets the importance of love, tolerance, and resilience. She was a warrior of truth and a champion of strength. 

During her formative years, Patricia attended Blackshear Elementary and Jack Yates Jr./Sr. High School. Her accomplishments weren’t measured in dollars but measured in love. She was the cornerstone of her family and a confidante to her friends. Her most prized possessions were her four children. She sacrificed all she had so that they could experience an abundant life. She had nurturing ties to her grandchildren as she enjoyed catering to their unique needs in typical “granny” fashion.

Patricia enjoyed singing in the choir, dancing, cooking, family gatherings, game shows, Judge Judy, an occasional trip to the Casino, traveling and a good cross word puzzle.

She came to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. She was a steadfast soldier in the army of her Lord, giving her devoted service to the Church Choir and Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) at Brentwood Baptist Church. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Steve White; mother, Emeola Caldwell-White; and sister/cousins, Loretta White and Delores Cavanaugh.

Loving memories will be cherished by: her two daughters, Cheryl L. Douglas (Anthony) and Deborah Stewart; her two sons, Anthony White and George Davis, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Chon, Erika (Gamal), Kirbi, C.J, Tim, Jeremy, Miles and Maxie; Eleven great-grandchildren, Leo, Riya, Aubry, Garrison, Precious, Kye, Taylor, Liyah, Bailey, Koby and Avani; two Nephew/Cousins, Gregory Daniels and William “Kenny” White (Maisha); bonus daughter, Shonda Bosier and a host of family and friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be William “Kenney" White, Christopher Daniels, Dr. Roosevelt Gloyd III, Michael Richmond Robert Wallace and Levase Campbell; and as Honorary Bearers, Gregory Daniels, Chris “CJ” Tolbert-White, Timothy White, Miles White, Craig Caldwell and Jeremy Alix.
