Pearline Walker was born July 16, 1949 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Willie Walker Sr. and Zeola (Hamilton) Walker. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended church with her family.
Pearline moved from Arkansas to Houston, Texas, where she attended Houston Community College and later Texas Southern University. She worked at TSU as an inventory clerk, for several years before going on to work at Dowell(Schlumberger, Inc.) for over five years. Her career extended over to the United Way for several years as well. Her final employment was with Fort Bend Independent School District transportation department, where she finally retired.
Pearline had endurance, strength, and courage, and was fearless. She lived a full earthly life with confidence and determination. As a mother of five children, she taught them to value themselves not only for others, but for themselves. When you saw her, no matter what she had going on, she always had a smile.
Pearline was preceded in death by: her daughter, Brenda Gipson; grandchildren, Khristine Revels and Joseph Akens, Jr.; her parents, Willie and Zeola Walker; six brothers, Jimmy Washington(Tippy), Ishmael Austin, Malvin Walker, Inette Walker, Johnny Walker and Willie Walker, Jr.; and three sisters, Geraldine Gilliam, Suevilla Mims and Agnes Walker.
