Theresa Marie Bledsoe was born on February 18, 1941, in Houston, Texas. Her parents were the late Josephine (Callahan) Bledsoe and Shannon James Bledsoe, Jr. Also, born in that Union is her brother Albert.
At a very young age, the Bledsoe family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where Theresa and her brother Albert Bledsoe were raised. She graduated from Incarnate Word Academy. She continued her studies at Delmar College and later also graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Theresa worked at Spohn Hospital as a laboratory technician until she relocated to Houston, Texas in 1971. She worked as a chemist for Arco Chemical and later Dow Chemical where she retired. Her work life spanned over 40 years. She was a very intelligent, smart, loving, and was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Theresa met Charles Rice and married him in Corpus Christi, Texas. This union was blessed with three adorable children. Later, the family would relocate to Channelview, Texas. Charles Rice preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her second husband, Earl Greathouse.
Theresa resided in Somerville, Burleson County, Texas for many years. She later united in matrimony with Artie Norman, Jr. Her Christian life led her to worship at The Fellowship Of Purpose Church and Northeast Church of Christ. She accepted Christ at a young age, was a strong, believer, and a faithful servant.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Artie Norman, Jr.; three children, Charles Rice, Jr. (Bonnie), Kevin Rice (Sonya), and Kim Rice-Freeman (Chuck); six grandchildren, Chelsea, Rachel, Charles, Kalen, Taelor and Kamryn; six great grandchildren, Kollin, Kenadee, Jada, Nessi, Jack and Trey; her siblings, Albert Bledsoe, Sr. (Cecelia), Ronald Bledsoe, Shannon Bledsoe, Cheryl Bledsoe.
