Thomas James Robinson Jr., age 80, was born on April 12, 1944 in Giddings, Texas. He was the son of T.J. and Charles Etta Robinson. He was known as "TJ" to family and friends. He accepted Christ in his life years ago and was a member of New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Giddings, Texas.
He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Plainview, Texas. In 1964, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he met and married Shirley Prox. To this union five children were born. Thomas began his career in Dallas, as a butcher at Samuel Mohawk for 35 years. In the early 1980's he started working with his uncles Milton(Uncle Boy) and Emmit(Uncle Mickey). He returned to Giddings, Texas in 1990.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going fishing and sitting on the lake with his fishing poles. He definitely loved watching his sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys of whom he was a fan until the end.
On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, he departed this earthly walk of life. He was preceded in death by: his parents, T.J. and Charles Etta Robinson; his brothers, Clifford and Perry Robinson; his two sons, Randy and Thommie Robinson.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Cassandra Robinson-Bailey(Steven) and Tonja Robinson; one son, Thomas Robinson III(Cynthia) all of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren (and 1 unborn); one sister, Darlene Huff; three brothers, Charles Robinson and Benny Lee Robinson of Giddings, Texas and Clyde Robinson(Robbie) of Elgin, Texas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and two special cousins, Clara and Gladys(his phone buddies) that kept him going and prayed with him to keep his spirits up.
