Virginia (Simpson) Washington

Virginia Simpson Washington, 82 of Giddings, Texas was born on November 24, 1938 in Lee County, Texas.  Her parents were Rance Simpson, Sr. and Lorine (Francis) Simpson.

She retired as an Educational Assistant and Bus Driver for Giddings Independent School District.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents, Rance Sr. and Lorine Simpson; husband, Earl Washington; son, Douglas M. Brown; grandson, Kyle Brown; one sister, Quedna Gantt; and four brothers, H.L. Simpson, Rance Simpson, Jr., Farris Simpson and Antone Simpson.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  two sons, Jessie James Brown, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona and Michael Brown of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Diane Brown of Houston, Texas, Debby Brown(Lester Lovings) of Giddings, Texas and Barbara Williams(Blaine) of Paige, Texas; two sisters, Delores Thompson of Bryan, Texas and Marjorie Goins of Giddings, Texas; grandchildren, Christina Hatch of Houston, Texas, Charlene Williams and Britni Waddell of Pasadena, Texas, Brandon Robertson of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Patrece Exceus of Houston, Texas, Courtney Williams and Cameron Williams both of Fort Worth, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Kishara, Sean, Aaron, Brieon, Mikayla, Daniah, Mila, Khalil, Jaylin, Nuri, Christopher, Chon, Ava and Asher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
