Willie Harris, Jr. Obituary

Willie Claude Harris, Jr. was born on Thursday, January 17, 1963 in Charleston, South Carolina.  He was the son of the late Willie Claude Harris, Sr. and Willie Mae (Nunn) Harris.

Willie attended Lyndon Baines Johnson High School in Austin, Texas.  Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard.  He worked as a grounds keeper at Camp Mabry Army Base.

While growing up in Austin, he had so many family and friends and made lasting memories.  His big sister Sherry always kept her four brothers in line, teaching them how to consistently do their best.  His brother Donnie always made sure he kept him on his toes; and the twins Ronnie and Ricky always got away with everything(of course they were the babies.)  He loved his family and many holidays were always enjoyed together.

Willie met the love of his life, Earselen in 2010. As a result of a match making by his big sister Sherry, Willie and Earselen became inseparable.  After becoming best friends, they united in marriage on June 1, 2012.  They resided in Giddings, Texas for the remainder of his life. Willie was blessed with two wonderful stepchildren, Stanford and Kashemia, four granddaughters, one grandson, and one god granddaughter.

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Willie received his final deployment from this earthly life to sweet rest.  He is preceded in death by:  his father, Willie Claude Harris Sr.; his mother, Willie Mae Nunn Harris; one brother, Donald Harris and his grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his wife of 14 years, Earselen Sams Harris; his sister, Sherry Harris Mims of Kyle, Texas; brothers, Ronnie Harris(Doris) of Buda, Texas and Ricky Harris(Lisa) of Hutto, Texas; two stepchildren, Stanford Patridge, Jr.(Niki) of Round Rock, Texas and Kashemia Patridge of Giddings, Texas; grandchildren, Ashanti Gilmon, Amiya Gilmon and Alaina Gilmon of Giddings, Texas, Lyniya Patridge and Jordan Hubbard of Round Rock, Texas; one god granddaughter, Gabby Newson of Elgin, Texas; nephews, Roderick Harris, David Harris, Justin Harris, Joshua Harris, O'neal Mims and Ricky Harris; nieces, Pamela Mims, Kennedy Clark, Kuanyin Harris, Mya Harris, Kylie Harris, Bre Herron, Kaylie Harris, Shantel Harris and Chelsea Blackmon; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Clark of Austin, Texas; and a host of great nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
