Willie Edward Patridge was born to the late Jessie Lee and Elva (Joiner) Patridge in Giddings, Lee County, Texas. He was one of eight children born to this union.
At an early, he accepted Christ and attended Shorter Chapel A.M.E. Church. Willie received his formal education in Giddings Public Schools where he graduated from Giddings High School in 1978. He later joined the U.S. Army. He served his country for several years and received an honorable discharge. While serving, he earned many medals and awards. He later continued his service in the Army Reserves for many years.
Willie went on to work for the State of Texas. He worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice being stationed in Beeville, Texas and Navasota, Texas. In 1998 he began his career at Giddings State Home and School, where he retired.
Willie has left this earthly walk of life. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Demetria Lynn Patridge; his parents, Jessie Lee and Elva Patridge; one son, Eric Jerome Ford; and one sister, Jessie Ruth Canada.
